Resumo

 In the context of EANCYT Project, Teaching and Learning on nature of science and technology, the purpose of this paper is to present two teaching units as instruments of intervention in the classroom that are designed to improve understanding on the nature of Science and Technology (NdCyT) in students between 12 and 15,  in grades 6 and 9 of the basic secondary and that will be applied to an explicit methodology and reflective in real classrooms in Colombia and other countries participating in the project. It shows the need to build open and flexible curricula that include the study of CTS relations and articulate standards of competence for natural sciences from the Ministry of Education (MEN).
